Applebee's International, Inc. is the leader in the casual dining segment of the United States restaurant marketplace. The company franchises and operates more than 1,100 restaurants under the Applebee's Neighborhood Grill & Bar name, about a quarter of which it owns. The eateries offer moderately priced, high-quality food and drink for all ages in a friendly, informal atmosphere. Applebee's is continuing to expand, with 1,800 outlets the company's stated goal. A smaller restaurant format has been designed for areas with populations under 25,000, to facilitate penetration of previously untapped markets.





Applebee's Asian Crunch Salad Copycat Recipe

A crunchy salad with cucumbers, sugar snap peas, onions, roasted red peppers topped with a seasoned grilled chicken breast and a tangy Asian vinaigrette.
MAKES  2 Large Dinner Salads               

2 cups water
1/2 cup sugar
1 Tablespoon white vinegar
1/2 teaspoon soy sauce
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
1/4 teaspoon paprika

2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
1 cup teriyaki marinade

1 Dole Asian Crunch Salad Kit
1/2 red onion, sliced
1/2 cucumber, peeled and sliced
roasted red peppers from a jar, to taste
1 teaspoon salt

Make the Dressing
Mix the Catalina dressing with the hot sauce. (If you don't care for Catalina try the recipe below.)
Ranch dressing and mix in some salsa to your taste. (This is an easy way to make Mexican Ranch like Applebee's.)

Cook the Chicken
lice the chicken breasts into 1/2 inch strips fajita style.
Fry the chicken strips in a skillet with the fajita season according to package directions.

Build the Salad
Empty the contents of the salad kit onto two plates.
Add the peppers, onions, beans and corn.
Top the salad off with the chicken, grated cheese and crushed tortilla chips.
Serve the dressing on the side.
